For example, I would multiply 1/6 by 5 because 5 is the bottom of the other. 1/6×5= 5/30

Then I would multiply 2/5 by 6 which would be 12/30

Then multiply 12/30 by 5/30

Or you can cross multiply, taking the top number on one fraction and multiplying it by the denominator (bottom) of the other fraction. So I would multiply 1 by 5, getting 5.

I would then multiply 6 by 2, getting my 12

I am left with 5/12
