The probability of rolling a fair die and getting a 2, a 4, a 6 or a 3 is given by

[tex]P(2)+P(4)+P(6)+P(3)= \frac{1}{6} + \frac{1}{6} + \frac{1}{6} + \frac{1}{6} = \frac{4}{6} = \frac{2}{3} [/tex]

Therefore, the odds for the event rolling a fair die and getting a 2, a 4, a 6, or a 3 is 2/3 and the odds against is 1 - 2/3 = 1/3
