Antigone's major goal is to  bury Polynices.

Polunices is her brother who died in a battle. The burial of Polynices is forbidden by King Creon, who ascended to the Trone of Thebes.

In the end Antigone is imprisoned and kills herself not knowing that she would be pardoned.
