The number  of CO2  molecule s that are needed to balance the  equation are

that is  C2H4 +3O2 = 2CO2+ 2H2O

1 molecule of   ethane (C2H4)  is burned in presence of oxygen to form 2 molecules of carbon(iv) oxide (CO20 and 2 molecules of water(H2O)
