The empire developed to the east of the Seleucid territories beyond the Indus following Alexander's death is the Seleucid Empire. After the death of Alexander in BCE 323, the harmony of the empire of Macedonia lost.  Seleucus I Nicator later anticipated the basileus title and created the Seleucid Empire in the Near East territory that is conquered by Alexander the Great.
