The quadratic regression equation that best fits the data can be found using Microsoft Excel. The calculations can also be performed by hand, but they are lengthy and usually not desired by the instructors.
Enter the values of x and y in the first two columns of excel as shown below. Then from the ribbon go to the insert menu, and insert a scatter plot for the data. The image attached below shows the table and the graph as well as the equation of the quadratic regression model.
