Hello!

First of all, we have an absolute value. As we have no negatives, it stays the same and we get the equation below.

2x+6-4=20

We add 4 to both sides.

2x+6=24

Subtract 6 from both sides.

2x=18

Divide both sides by 2

x=9

I hope this helps!
