7/10 + 4/5

  • Make 4/5 have a common denominator with 7/10 by multiplying 4/5 by 2/2.
  • 4/5 * 2/2 = 8/10

Add 7/10 and 8/10.

  • 7/10 + 8/10 = 15/10

Simplify 15/10 by dividing both sides by 5/5.

  • 15/10 ÷ 5/5 = 3/2 or 1 1/2
