You are given a slope and a point. It makes sense to use the point-slope form of the equation for a line. For slope m and point (h, k), that equation is ...

... y - k = m(x - h)

For m = 4 and (h, k) = (2, 1), your equation is

... y - 1 = 4(x - 2)

The formula you use is y-y1=m(x-x1)

x1=2 y1=1 m=2

first you plug in the numbers

y-1=4(x-2)

then you distribute the four and you get:

y-1=4x-8

next you would add the one (to cancel it out and leave the y alone) you get:

y=4x-7 and that is your answer
