You can see that the two angles sum up to 90°. So, you have the following equation:

[tex] (4x+2)+(3x+4) = 90 \iff 7x + 6 = 90 \iff 7x = 84 \iff x = \dfrac{94}{7} \iff x = 12 [/tex]

So, angle above measures

[tex] 4x+2 = 4\cdot 12+2 = 48+2 = 50 [/tex]

And the angle below measures

[tex] 3x+4 = 3\cdot 12+4 = 36+4 = 40 [/tex]

These 2 angles add up to 90 degrees, so

4x + 2 + 3x + 4 = 90

7x = 90 - 6 = 84

x = 12

So the 2 angles are 4*12 + 2 = 50  and  3(12) + 4 = 40

Answer 50 degrees and 40 degrees  (the top one is 50 degrees)
