(4 + 5) ÷ 3 x 4.

We will use the operation PEMDAS.

So we solve for the parentheses first which is 4 + 5.

That equals 9.

Then we divide 9 by 3 and that equals 3.

Lastly, multiply 3 by 4 and gets you the answer of 12.

First do the obvious one, 3*4=12. Next you use the commutative property and switch the four and the s, then the associative to group together 4 and 12. This is .3333, so s=0.3333
