You can tell that the right angled triangle to the left is in fact the part which is missing from the rectangle at the top.

Area

= (22 cm) * (3.5 cm) + (22 cm) * (2.5 cm)

*Use distributive rule

= (22 cm) * (3.5 cm + 2.5 cm)

= (22 cm) * (6 cm)

= 132 cm²
