Ulysses a poem by Tennyson from the Victorian age with a pessimistic tone. A dark, tired and depressing picture of a man is painted who always seems to be taveling and drinking. An example of this is "i cannot rest from travel: i will drink." Another example is in the final line where the pessimistic tone is shown "Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will."
