By using the process of yellow journalism, they exaggerated the truths about the things that were happening in Cuba, and wrote opinionated articles that swayed the opinions of Americans.

Yellow journalism is that based on the sensationalism and crude exageration of a journalism report with little or no legitmate research or real news.
