answer to 1+4=5, 2+5=12, 3+6=21, 8+11=?

the answer is 40

you go up what ever it equals so like

1+4=5  but  2+5=12 that does not make sense but wait

1+4=5   5+5+2=12 12+6+3=21 and 21+8+11=40

19+21 = 40 is the answer.

You take whatever it equals and add it to the next equation.
