The solution set is {1, 2, 3}.

(x−1)(x−2)(x−3)=0

Each of the 3 binomials, because they are multiplied together can be equal to 0 .

So x - 1 = 0 gives x = 1.

In the same way x-2 = 0 gives  x = 2

and x-3 = 0 gives x = 3.
