When solving for X, you need to get X by itself on one side of the =. In order to move numbers from one side of the = to the other, you need to do the opposite operation. So in this case, because X is being DIVIDED by 9.5. We need to MULTIPLY by 9.5 to 2. That way we can move 9.5 to the other side and leave X alone.
