Use the distance formula Sqrt ( (x2-x1)^2 +(y2-y1)^2)

Distance = sqrt ( (-8 - -2)^2 +(4- -4)^2)

Distance = sqrt(-6^2 + 8^2)

Distance = sqrt ( 36 + 64)

Distance = sqrt(100)

Distance = 10

The length is 10
