The quadratic equation is described as:
[tex] x=\frac{-b+- \sqrt{ b^{2}-4ac } }{2a} [/tex]

where a is the coefficient of x2, b is the coefficient of x and c is the constant.

Substituting and solving for x would result to:
[tex] x=\frac{-4+- \sqrt{ 4^{2}-4*3*-2 } }{2*3} [/tex]
[tex] x1=\frac{-4+ 2\sqrt{10} }{6}[/tex]
[tex] x2=\frac{-4- 2\sqrt{10} }{6} [/tex]
