Quotient is an answer to a division problem.

For example: 12 ÷ 2 = 6, the quotient is 6.

Reciprocal is the opposite of the fraction. When you put the numerator in the place of the denominator and vice versa.

For example: the reciprocal of 2/3 is 3/2. When divided, the two fractions cancel each other out.
