The length of a rectangle is 5cm longer than the width whose
perimeter is 38cm. Find the dimensions of the rectangle.

The formula for calculating the perimeter (p) of a rectangle is 2 lengths (l) plus 2 widths (w). Mathematically, p = 2l + 2w

If the length is 5 cm longer than the width, then l = w + 5.
