We have,

x+y:x-y=3:2

To prove that, x+ y : x - y = 3:2.

x+y=3

And,

x+y = 2

Adding (1) and (2), we get

x+y+x-y=3+2

⇒2x=5

⇒ x =

Put x =  in (1), we get

+y=3

⇒ y=3-=

x+y:x-y=

=3:2

So, x+y:x-y=3:2.
