Discriminant = b^2 - 4ac

a = 1

b = 3

c = -6

3^2 - 4(1x-6)

9 - (4 x -6 )

9 - -24 = 33

Therefore it has 2 real roots

Given:ax^2+bx+c=0The discriminant is:b^2−4(a)(c)so it would be 33x^2-4(1)(6)
3^2 - 4(1)(-6)
[a] x^2  [+b] x  [+c] = 0[1] x^2  [+3] x  [-6] = 09 - 4(1)(-6) = 9 - (-24)
=33
