Answer:

When you have different forms of equations you can then see equivalencies.  the different forms of equations can then be solved, each in its own manner.  meaning sometimes you can not solve one way because the equation is nested within another, a function in a function. F(x)=f(g(x))  Then you can work the problem around to different forms until you get your solution
