An indicator is something that “indicates” something. It is basically a thing that gives context or indicated to a state of something.
For e.g:-
1. Global warming is a major indicator in climate change.
2. Car ownership is frequently used as an indicator for affluence.
3. The car indicator indicated that the driver was gonna take a left turn.
