1. PEMDAS states we solve what’s in parentheses first.
(3.5*3.5)+0.5/35
12.35+0.5/35


2. Next we divide 0.5 by 35 and get roughly 0.0142

3. We’re left with the equation below and all that’s left is to add

12.35+0.0142=12.492
