The correct answer would be “R=-4”. Since we know it’s being multiplied by 4 each time, we just have to test it out. 4 times -4=-16 times -4=64 times -4=-256. However if we do the rule for r=4, we would have 4 times 4=16. 16 is not equal to -16. Therefore the answer would be R=-4
