The teen club had a cupcake sale.
They sold 2/3 of their cupcakes in the morning. They sold 1/6 of their cupcakes in the afternoon. They sold 200 cupcakes altogether.
How many cupcakes were left to sell?

40. Let C be the total number of cupcakes. Then 2/3 x C + 1/6 x C = 200.

Combining , 5/6 x C = 200. So C = 240.

240–200= 40
