The value of the composite function h(f(3)) is 2

Composite functions

Given the following functions

f(x)= x-1, h(x) = -x+4

h(f(x)) = h(x - 1)

Substituting the functions will give

h(f(x)} = -(x-1) + 4

If x = 3, then

h(f(3)) = -(3-1) + 4

h(f(3)) = -2 + 4

h(f(3)) = 2

Hence the value of the composite function h(f(3)) is 2
