3(2x + 2) = 3x - 15

• Using distributive property

[tex]6x + 6 = 3x - 15[/tex]

• Solving the like terms

[tex]6x - 3x = - 15 - 6[/tex]

[tex]3x = - 2 1[/tex]

[tex]x = - \dfrac{21}{3} [/tex]

[tex]x = - 7[/tex]
