write out the inequality

Add 5 to both sides of the inequality

[tex]\begin{gathered} x-5+5>-1+5 \\ x>4 \end{gathered}[/tex]

Therefore

The solution to the inequality in intervalnotation is

[tex](4,\infty)[/tex]

The solution is (4,∞)
