If I understand the question correctly then, most of the people in Russia at the time of revolution were poor and idealistic. When millions were dying in WWI  the anger toward the Tsar grew to the point that they had to take action to change the government

Everyone was poor and starving and did not want to fight ww1 anymore but the leader wanted to keep fighting.
