Multiply or divide as indicated.

(3x)^12 divided by (3x)^4

Help so lost and confused with this. Don't know where to start

This is the division property of exponents. When dividing to exponential with the same base, you subtract the exponents, the top minus the bottom. So the answer is (3x)^(12-4)=(3x)^8
