In an h-r diagram, most stars are found in a diagonal band from the upper left to lower right which is called the main sequence. The main sequence is the most well-known feature of the Hertzsprung-Russell Diagram. The main sequence composed of stars that spend their lives by burning hydrogen in their nucleus.
