If we consider kohlberg's theory of moral development, we could best characterize children's moral development as a process of: progressing through a series of stages from self-centeredness to increasing concern about the needs and rights of others.

According to Kohlberh, a moral compass that each person held derived from PERSONAL EMPATHY toward victims of injustices. since personal empathy derived from our personal emotion, it could be categorized as a self-centered response.
