This is a riddle where the answer is a student. A student usually asks a lot of questions if he/she wants to know more about a subject. Bright is here used in a pun because bright can mean both illuminated and smart. Here we are led to believe that the meaning is illuminated, but the meaning is actually smart, so students are smart and ask questions.
