Sodium chloride, NaCl, sample are usually used in many laboratory testings and experiments. The mass required for samples are usually just below 10 g. The most accurate readings for this mass is through which there are 2 decimal places. Thus, the highest number of significant  figures that can be reported for such is only 4.
