the 6 pairs of shorts would cost (s being the cost of the pair of shorts) 

6*s

and the blazer would cost 3*s

and together they were 9s, which is 139.50

so each S is 139.50/9=15.5

and the Blazer was 3*s, so 3*15.5=46.5

which is the answer!
