You can purchase 6 boxes of medical sponges for $0.50.

Step 1:
Divide 300 by 25.00
300/25= 12
So you get 12 boxes for 1 dollar.
We have 50 cents.

Step 2:
Multiply 12 by 0.50
12*.5 = 6
So you can buy 6 boxes for $0.50.

you have to divide 25 by 300 which would give you 0.083 which means it is 10 cents per box if you round up which means you can buy 5
