These kinds of telescopes are specialized and have a much larger scope than those optical telescopes. These telescope that detect non-optical radiation can observe a lot more and those that are far more distant which is very helpful in studying objects in space. From the phenomenon called the Big Bang, almost everything in space emits radiation, ranging from enormous amounts to a tiny speck. These telescopes detect them and observe them and gives us data that would be the key to understanding the concepts of space.
