-He had a close relationship with Lenin, Lenin saw him as strong and powerful. Lenin granted him "General Secretary" after the war.
-In 1922 Russia got a new constitution and since Lenin and Stalin were close and Stalin's title he definitely had an influence.
-Stalin was extremely manipulative. He befriended Kamenev and Zinoviev to attack Trotsky. They made fun of his speeches a lot.
