Given mass of silver = 10 g

Initial temperature = [tex] 10^{0}C [/tex]

Final temperature = [tex] 300^{0}C [/tex]

Temperature change ΔT = [tex] T_{final}-T_{initial} = 300^{0}C-10^{0}C [/tex]

= [tex] 290^{0}C [/tex]

Specific heat of silver, C = [tex] 0.235 \frac{J}{^{0}C.g} [/tex]

The relation between heat, mass, specific heat and temperature change is,

[tex] Heat(q) = m C( [/tex]ΔT)

Heat = [tex] 10. g(0.235\frac{J}{^{0}C}(290^{0}C) [/tex]

= 681.5 J
