The bases of a right prism are parallelograms with length of one of its sides a=8.5 cm and altitude to that side ha = 4 cm. Find the volume of the prism, if the height is h=14 cm.

Volume is given by:
V=(base area)×(height)
base area=bh
where:
b=base=8.5 cm
h=height= 4 cm
thus
base area=8.5×4=34 cm²
Thus the volume will be:
V=34×14
V=476 cm³
