First you have to find the greatest common factor of 6 and 8

The greatest common factor is 2

You divide the who expression by 2

[tex] \frac{6a+8b}{2} =3a + 4b[/tex]

Put your answer is parenthesis and what you divide by outside of the parenthesis

2(3a + 4b)

The answer is 2(3a + 4b)
